What we're looking for
Ether is hiring a Full Stack Developer to join our team to help us deliver and maintain projects of all shapes and sizes.
We're looking for someone with at least four years of agency or in-house development experience, well versed in front and backend technologies generally, but more specifically in React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Node.js along with some PHP experience. More broadly, you should have experience with Docker, Ubuntu, Nginx and Git. Experience using React Native is a plus.
You should be able to take design work and build out accurate, clean and efficient frontends in addition to performant APIs and scalable databases.
A number of our projects also integrate deeply with third-party services like Stripe, DocuSign and Euroland so familiarity and experience with APIs of all standards will be essential.
Although we have preferred technologies & frameworks, you will have full autonomy and ownership for the products you build. You should feel empowered to make recommendations and work closely with the team and client to deliver the best possible solution.
You might have a computer science or engineering degree. You might not. That's not what we're looking for. We care about what you can do and how you do it, not about how you got here. A strong track record of conscientious, thoughtful work speaks volumes.
We value managers of one. We appreciate people who can bring strong opinions, but move with the team even when they disagree. We subject ideas to rigorous consideration and challenge each other, but all remember that we're here for the same purpose: to do good work together. That comes with direct feedback, openness to each others' experience, and willingness to show up for each other as well as for the technical work at hand. We're in this for the long term.
The kind of work you'll be doing
You'll spend most of your time supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of client contracts alongside developing innovative and exciting solutions for both new and existing clients.
Around half your time will be spent working on TrainMyAthlete, a key contract that will see you working on features and tooling to support an international roll-out in Asia and power the platform's growth and development establishing it as the leading Athlete Management System in the world.
The remainder of your time you'll be working on new projects and supporting existing platform clients such as Moxi and Kent FA alongside exciting web projects for national and international brands.
Where you'll be based
We're ideally looking for someone in the South East of England where our studio is based, although we're open to remote applicants, too. If you do happen to be local, we're happy with setting up working from home. For remote applicants, we're specifically looking for someone in the United Kingdom.
